Oh...Are we finally here?  Yes, after a grueling ride, we
arrived at the Rock Inn outside of Sagada.  It was
dark and we discovered the next morning why this
is called Rock Inn.  The road is rock-lined and
with all the rain, the dirt is washed away making
it like a cobblestone 1/2 mile driveway.  There are
shear rock cliffs surrounding the Inn.  We are
told "young people" from all over the globe come
here to rock climb.  Not me!  Guess I am
an old, old person.
Interesting shower.  Edward was the only one who got a hot shower.
Being the engineer he is, he knew to not open the valve completely.  This
was the only advantage we had over the other travelers!  They at
least got sheets, towels and washrags.

Comfort??? room with no towels (we had to ask for them) and a leaky
toilet.  No hot water in the sink.
 Arriving in Sagada

Small beds with no sheets on them

Like camping in a 1/8 inch plywood tent with a floor, but it was clean.
We have a new appreciation for the missionaries who serve
in areas like this.  Our humble apartment is like the Ritz Hotel.

Hallway

Lounge area

Outside gazebo with a fire pit

Cold morning in the mountains!  You could see
your breath for sure.  Even Edward was cold!

Cool trees

Love these!

Hmmm.....

Elder and Sister Gozart - freezing also!

Bar - I wouldn't want to be a waitress here as the
floor has small rocks in the cement.

Dining hall where it took three tries to get plain hot
water in a cup to warm me up.

It's amazing what a night's sleep does for one!  Smile, grimace or ????
You're not in Kansas anymore Dorothy!  I'm ready to eat!  The
funny thing is, you don't know what you are getting, so each
meal is an adventure.

Cool

Fern tree ? it is said some of the oldest ferns in the world
are found in Sagada.
