November was a bust, but here is a quick recap:
We kind of celebrated Halloween. We got a new Temple President/Matron, the Amistads. I had another round of parasites. And, we celebrated Thanksgiving - in a way.
Trick or treating in the Philippines in 90 degree weather!
Our cute little "lunchroom" witch - Irish
Our Thanksgiving Dinner:
I hate having my picture taken!!!!!
Notice the green jello I made - haha!
Not quite as many as we had for dinner in Manti last year!
Our Filipino friends are not sure about our "turkey with the trimmings" dinner, but
they were gracious. A good time was had by all.
The best part of the dinner!
What do you mean this turkey didn't come from Moroni?!?!?!?
I have a new friend, Lydia, who is 11 years old. We
have discovered we both love to read. She made
me this basket which are pieces of paper folded
and interlocked. Amazing!!!!! The pictures don't
do it justice, so you'll have to wait until we
get home to see it.
I think this pretty much gets us caught up through November. Parting thought:
" It is easy to be grateful for things when life seems to be going our way. But what then of those times when what we wish for seems to be far out of reach? Could I suggest that we see gratitude as a disposition, a way of life that stands independent of our current situation? In other words, I’m suggesting that instead of being thankful for things, we focus on being thankful in our circumstances—whatever they may be."
